I Pronounce the Games of the XXIX Olympiad…Over!
After 16 days of blood, sweat and tears, the 2008 Beijing Summer Olympic Games will come to an end tonight with the Olympic Closing Ceremony. Guo Jinlong, the Mayor of Beijing will be hand over the Olympic flag to Boris Johnson, the Mayor of London, who are set to host the games in 2012.
The London Organising Committee for the Olympic Games are said to have recruited football superstar David Beckham to kick footballs from the top of a red double decker bus as part of the closing ceremony hand over. Gee. Doesn’t that just sound great?
If London’s Olympic logo is anything to go by, their performance is bound to be nothing but seizure inducing…but at least it comes in four different colours right? London, you totally match our blog, lets be BFFs.
