The CW In Beverly Hills Bliss
The CW’s reboot of 90210 has scored the highest ever ratings for a scripted series on the green network. 4.91 million viewers tuned in for the 2-hour series premiere which built to a massive 5.14 million viewers during the second hour.
The show out-performed the series premieres in key demographics for other hit teen shows such as Dawson’s Creek, Buffy the Vampire Slayer and The OC.
This is a precedent setting win for The CW who have up until now had little impact on ratings across the major markets. It is the first Tuesday night win for The CW in their target markets and the the highest performing series premiere in the history of the network.

Here is my review, which I posted in the other 90210 post.
What a Fantastic start!
I wasnt expecting much from the show as there was so much trouble surrounding the show (salary related) and it being a teen drama – not a real fan of teen dramas. But after watching the double premiere I’m sold. It is well written, the humour and songs are well slotted into the show and it is scandalous.
The first half of the double episode was a good platform for the show as it introduced the characters nicely. But in my opinion there were too many ‘main’ characters, nevertheless the actors did a fine job. There were a few shocks in the second half with some being cliched. But overall it was an enjoyable 2 hours and Ill definitely be back next week.
If you havent seen it yet, it premieres this Monday, 8th September 8:30. Even if you didnt watch the original, like me, I guarantee you wont be disappointed.
