McLeod’s Summer Burn Off

The Nine Network, who claim to be ‘Proudly Australian’, have pushed their once number one Aussie drama to the summer burn off period.

Nine’s Melbourne head of programming Len Downs said the remaining episodes would screen in the first week out of the ratings period. ”It will commence the first week of December and screen through January,” he said.

What a way to treat your Australian drama, Nine. You’ll screen four year old US content on Nine HD but won’t play McLeod’s Daughters for the fans out there who have stuck by the show, through its ups and downs over the last eight years?

Maybe you should change your slogan to ‘Proudly Australian, but only when we make bucket loads of cash from advertising.’ What? Too long?…I know, we’ll just import a slogan from the US!
