The Sort Of-CW
As part of a time-leasing deal with Media Rights Capital, The CW will have its Sunday night line up filled with a selection of shows decided on by the independent financial company.
The first of the shows to air on the Sunday night line up is a reality/observational show, In Harm’s Way. It follows the lives of people who do dangerous and often life-threatening jobs, including war photographers, oil well cappers, Coast Guard divers and minesweepers.
The second show is a half-hour comedy, Surviving Suburbia, which has been likened to a male Roseanne.
Concluding the line up are two dramas, Valentine and Easy Money. The first focuses on the Valentine family, a group of gods living amongst humans whose goal is to bring soulmates together.
Easy Money is described as a unique, sometimes dark and often hilarious look at a family that runs a high-interest loan business in a world of sharks. It comes from the Executive Producers of Northern Exposure and The Sopranos, Andy Schneider and Diane Frolov.
All show’s have an initial order of 13 episodes which will commence broadcast from Sunday, October 5.
Media Rights Capital has several other shows in development for possible mid-season debuts including the police drama F.A.T City and the comedy Book of Murphy.
