ABC Dumps Gay’s Anatomy
ABC have passed down their orders to Grey’s Anatomy creator/show-runner Shona Rhimes, that Brooke Smith, who plays Dr. Erica Hahn on the popular medical drama, will be let go from the series.
Smith, who was set to play one spike of a lesbian love triangle with Australia’s Melissa George and Sara Ramirez, has been given the shove after the network gave explicit orders that they were unhappy with the direction of her character’s relationship with Ramirez’ character Callie Torres.
As a result, E! is reporting that Melissa George’s character will also no longer be bisexual, meaning Callie will either be single for the rest of this season or she’ll suddenly be straight again.
Confuse me? I wonder if one of the ABC network execs is also FOR Prop 8?
