LL Cool J and Chris O’Donnell for NCIS spin-off

LL Cool J and Chris O’Donnell have reportedly been cast in the spin-off of CBS drama, ‘NCIS’.

LL Cool J and Chris O’Donnell have reportedly been cast in CBS’ spin-off of NCIS.

LL Cool J will play a Sam, a tough but charming former Navy SEAL who works undercover for the NCIS unit in L.A. and is an expert on the Middle East.

O’Donnell is set to play Callen, a role previously described as “a human Transformer who can change personas as easily as you or I change clothes.”

The back door pilot for the spin-off series will air as one half of a two-part episode of NCIS later this season.

Aussie NCIS showrunner Shane Brennan created the untitled spin-off and will serve as an executive producer should the spin-off go to series.

Update: It’s official, Chris O’Donnell has officially been cast.
