‘Gossip’ spin-off finds Serena’s father
Has the ‘Gossip Girl’ spin-off cast the father of Serena van der Woodsen?

‘One Tree Hill’ psycho Matt Barr has been cast in the CW’s spinoff as Keith van der Woodsen, a rich and handsome Malibu prince who is the love interest to Lily Rhodes (Brittany Snow).
While producers of the ‘Gossip’ project didn’t release any more information about the Keith character, it seems fairly plausible that he would be Lily’s future husband (Lily’s married name is Lily van der Woodsen) and father of Serena van der Woodsen.
The backdoor pilot will be produced by Warner Bros. TV and Alloy Entertainment for the The CW, and will air as an episode of ‘Gossip Girl’ later this season.

Not sure about the concept of this show, but they seem to have hired fairly recognizable actors. Especially with Brittany Snow.
