Twitter developing a TV series

Twitter are developing a new unscripted television project described as “putting ordinary people on the trail of celebrities in a revolutionary competitive format”.

In an bizarre partnership, social networking phenomenon Twitter have joined forces with Reveille and Brillstein Entertainment to develop a new unscripted television project which has been described as ”putting ordinary people on the trail of celebrities in a revolutionary competitive format”.

Few details have been announced, but Brillstein’s Jon Liebman said ”we’ve found a compelling way to bring the immediacy of Twitter to life on TV”.

The concept was created by novelist/screenwriter Amy Ephron, who will serve as an executive producer alongside Reville’s Mark Koops and Howard T. Owens, Brillstein’s Liebman and Lee Kernis and producers Kevin Foxe and Steve Lathan.

I guess this is one of the ways Twitter intend to finally start making money. Odd, but inventive.
