Michael Jackson has died aged 50 from what is believed to be cardiac arrest.

His brother Jermaine Jackson confirmed the news to press outside the UCLA Medical Centre, where Jackson was taken by paramedics after his collapse.
“My brother, the legendary King of Pop, passed away on Thursday June 25 at 2.26pm. We believe he suffered a cardiac arrest at his home, however the cause of his death is unknown until the results of the autopsy are known. The personal physician who was with him at the time attempted to resuscitated him.”
Jackson got his start in the music industry alongside his brothers in the Jackson 5. Their success lead to numerous appearances on a number of television shows including ‘The Ed Sullivan Show’, ‘Top of the Pops’ and ‘American Bandstand’.
Prior to his death, Jackson had been scheduled to perform 50 sold-out concerts to over one million people in London. It was suggested that these concerts would mark Jackson’s retirement.
