Hilary Duff enrolls in ‘Gossip Girl’
Singer/actor Hilary Duff has joined the cast of The CW’s ‘Gossip Girl’ for a multi-episode arc during the series third season.
According to Entertainment Weekly’s Michael Ausiello, Hilary Duff has joined the cast of ‘Gossip Girl’ for a multi-episode arc during the series third season.
The 21-year old singer/actor will play Olivia Burke, a movie star who enrolls at NYU in search of a traditional college experience.
Duff’s character is set to play roommate to Vanessa (Jessica Szohr), who like the rest of the cast are beginning their first year of college.
‘Gossip Girl’ producers apparently jumped at the chance to sign Duff, after NBC passed on her comedy pilot ‘Barely Legal’.
Duff will make her ‘Gossip Girl’ debut in the upcoming season’s fourth episode, scheduled to air October 5th on The CW.
