FOX orders J.J. Abrams comedy presentation

FOX have ordered a presentation for a medical comedy project from J.J. Abrams and Mike Markowitz.

J.J. Abrams, co-creator and executive producer of ‘Fringe’, will turn to laughter for a new medical comedy for FOX.

The untitled half-hour project, which will be penned by Mike Markowitz (‘Becker’), has been given a presentation order from the network, which Abrams will exec produce.

Markowitz and Bryan Burk will also serve as executive producers on the Warner Bros. TV/Bad Robot production.

Details on the project are being kept under wraps, apart from the brief logline of “a comedic medical show”.
