McDonald’s launches ‘MasterChef’ parody

McDonald’s has launched a ‘Masterchef Australia’ parody to coincide with the premiere of ‘Celebrity Masterchef’. Check out the first episode.

McDonald’s has jumped on its sponsorship opportunity to create a spoof webisode series to find the fast food restaurant’s next top chef.

The series will run on the official website for ‘Masterchef Australia’, which returns to for the first episode of ‘Celebrity Masterchef’ tonight on Network Ten.

‘Macca’s Chef’ was designed to promote the McDonald’s premium Angus Burger range and as a potential recruitment tool.

“We hope it will show potential new trainees the fun side of our business,” said Toby Dewar, McDonald’s national sponsorship and media manager.

The nine episode parody series has been created by Fremantle Media, the actual producers of the ‘MasterChef’ television format.
