The Tiger legend will work with AFL callers Bruce McAvaney and Dennis Cometti on Sunday Football, and is also set to add to the fun on AFL Game Day, joining the crew on a regular basis.

Channel Seven Melbourne general manager Lewis Martin commented on the star signing:

“We’ve all come to love Richo for his passion, warmth and humour both on and off the field. He’ll bring a great knowledge and insight into the game that we know fans will love.”

Richardson has been a hero on the field for the Tigers winning three All- Australian selections, a Best & Fairest award and 13 club goalkicking awards. His legend will now grow bigger off the field as he joins the best AFL commentary team in the land and cements his place as one of the most popular figures in the game.
