Sony Music today announced the signing of ‘Australian Idol’ runner up Hayley Warner.

The 17 year old rocker will release her first single “Good Day” on December 11.

“I am really stoked to be signing to Sony Music and to be able to make a record with these guys. Sony Music have the coolest acts ever!” said Warner.

Denis Handlin AM, Chairman & CEO of Sony Music Entertainment Australia & New Zealand commented on the recent signing:

“Hayley has great enthusiasm and energy and brings a unique performance style that the public have really responded to.  We look forward to working with her on her first album which will be released in 2010.”

“Good Day” is being delivered to radio stations today.

Warner’s yet to be titled debut album will be released in early 2010.

Noise International's single "GO!" is excepted to be released in early December.

Earlier this month we exclusively reported that Noise International would be releasing their channel GO! promo song as a single.

We’ve since learned that Sharon Muscat (of Sister2Sister fame) — whose vocals are featured in the track – has filmed the music video for the highly addictive song, which is expected to be released in early December.

“Filmed the video clip for GO! on Sunday! Thx to Noise International for inviting me to sing on the track!!!!” posted Muscat on her Twitter feed.

The track was a collaboration between the team at Noise Studios and was composed & produced by Bruce Heald.

It will be included on Muscat’s upcoming solo album.

Guy Sebastian new single "Art Of Love" is out now.

Guy Sebastian has released his new single “Art Of Love”, featuring fellow ‘Idol’ alum Jordin Sparks.

The duet is the second single from Sebastian’s fifth studio album “Like It Like That”, which was released earlier this month.

The single/EP also includes three acoustic covers of Michael Jackson’s hit songs “Ben”, “Man In The Mirror”, and “The Way You Make Me Feel”.

Guy recently flew to Los Angeles to shoot the video for “Art Of Love” with Jordin. It was directed by TWiN and produced by Christoffer Salzgeber. Check it out here.

"Introducing... Stan Walker" out Friday, December 11.

Since winning ‘Australian Idol’ on Sunday night, Stan Walker’s debut single “Black Box” has rocketed to #1 on the iTunes Singles Chart.

The single has also become the fastest selling Sony Music digital release to date.

Stan will film the music video for “Black Box” this week, which will premiere online on Tuesday, December 1.

On Friday, December 11, Stan’s debut album, “Introducing… Stan Walker” will be released – which showcases Stan’s ‘Australian Idol’ journey through the Top 12.

It includes re-recorded studio tracks of some of his standout performances on the the show including “Purple Rain”, “The Climb”, “Ordinary People” and “Superstar”, as well 2 brand new songs, “Think of Me” and his winning single, “Black Box”.

Noise International's first single "Go!" will be out soon.

We’ve been receiving quite a few emails recently, asking us who sings the song featured in the channel GO! promos.

After much scouring on the web, it seems there’s little know information out there. So we contacted the Nine Network directly to find out.

The song is called “Go!” and is by Noise International, a collaboration between the Australian production team at Noise Studios.

“Go!” was produced by Bruce Heald with guest vocals by Sharon Muscat (of Sister2Sister fame).

We’ve been told the single will be available on the iTunes Store very soon. Stay tuned.

The track “Just Can’t Throw Us Away” is the first single from Sheridan’s debut album, set for release later this year through Sony Music.

Sheridan will perform the song live during Seven’s ‘Dancing With the Stars’ grand finale on Sunday night.

Hugh Sheridan

He can dance, he can act, he can sing! It seems there’s nothing Hugh Sheridan can’t do.

Now, the 23-year old is set to take his vocal talents even further with the confirmation of a recording deal with Sony Music Entertainment Australia, which will see him release his debut album later this year.

“Music has always been a massive part of my life”, explains Hugh. “I am so excited to be able to partner with Sony Music to record this album and can’t wait to get my music out there!”

Sheridan’s debut single “Just Can’t Throw Us Away” is set to be released this Friday, followed by a live performance on Seven’s ‘Dancing with the Stars’ finale on Sunday night.

“Hugh is an incredible performer” says Denis Handlin AM, Chairman & CEO, Sony Music Entertainment Australia & New Zealand. “I am thrilled to have him part of the Sony Music family — I know the Australian public are going to love his music.”

Sheridan will be hard at work over the next few months recording a number of songs he’s written for his as-of-yet untitled debut album.

Wes Carr's new single 'Feels Like Woah' is now available on iTunes.

Following on from his platinum selling #1 single ‘You’, Australian Idol winner, Wes Carr is set to convert listeners and make new fans with his new single ‘Feels Like Woah’ (co-written by Wes, T Jay and Adam Argyle, who also wrote ‘You’).

Wes (on the songs title) explains that ‘Feels Like Woah’ is the phrase that you use when you’re looking for a way to describe the indescribable – that attempt to fill the void.

“The song stands for a feeling of hope,” explains Wes. “I really wanted the song to be a feel-good song that evokes a sense of hope & joy, and for it to be that song that makes you stop for 5 minutes and take in the moment.”

Since Idol wrapped up last year, Wes has been hard at work in the studio, putting the finishing touches on his his upcoming studio album, ‘The Way The World Looks’ due for release on March 20, 2009.

The album was produced by T.Jay for Rokstylerz Productions UK and mixed by Brian Paturalski. It will feature 12 songs, 8 that Wes has co-written with T Jay and Adam Argyle, and 3 of his own compositions.

After a discussion with my fellow blogger Cam, it appears that the most searched phrase on google to hit the TV Auscast blog is ‘Packed to the Rafters Song’. We do have a few posts on Packed to the Rafters as it has just debuted in Australia, however many of you probably don’t know who actually sings the song they use in the promotion.  In case you were wondering it is by a singer named Jason Mraz. He has also previously released the song ‘The Remedy’ (I Won’t Worry) four or five years ago. You would expect Jason to be an Aussie considering it does have an Australian sound to it and the song is currently promoting an Australian television show, however Jason Mraz is actually from the US.

Here is the vid of his song ‘I’m Yours’ currently promoting Packed to the Rafters airing on Channel 7 at 8:30pm, Tuesday nights.

I just stumbled upon the upfront promo for Gossip Girl’s second season. Check out the second track used in the clip.
